Missouri Challenge set to tip

Springfield, MO - The O'Reilly Family Event Center on the Drury University campus will play host to 160 of the state's top graduating senior boys and girls basketball standouts when the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association's 2012 Missouri Challenge takes place Saturday and Sunday May 26-27.

The Challenge features separate boys' and girls' eight-team, single-elimination basketball tournaments, with the squads of Missouri's top senior players split up by regions from around the state.

 

Admission to the 2012 Missouri Challenge will be $7 for adults and $4 for students, with children 5 and under admitted free.

Collegiate Awards (http://www.collegiateawards.com/), a full service awards company offering trophies, plaques and gifts, as well as promotional products and decorative items presents the Missouri Challenge this year.

 

Manuel earns Miss Show-Me Basketball title

Helping the Incarnate Word to a pair of twenty win seasons, including a Class 5 championship as a junior, and a third place finish this season 6-foot-3 inch senior forward Taylor Manuel played a part in every aspect of Red Knight success.

Manuel received the highest basketball honor in Missouri, selected by the MBCA as Miss Show-Me Basketball.

Biedscheid named Mr. Show-Me Basketball

Cardinal Ritter (St. Louis) High School shooting guard Cameron Biedscheid has been selected as Mr. Show-Me Basketball by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association fro the 2011-2012 school year.    

Biedscheid, who has committed to attend Notre Dame, earned his most recent honor from the MBCA at the 2012 Academic All-State banquet held at Drury University, in Springfield.
