David "Chubbs" Stillman earns Curtis Kerr Award

Kirkwood senior David "Chubbs" Stillman was named the first recipient of the Curtis Kerr award given annually to an outstanding student assistant in the state of Missouri.

Richard Fairchild Coaches of the Year named

The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) has selected the Richard Fairchild Coaches of the Year for the 2009-2010 season. These individuals represent the Associations outstanding Coaches in each of the MSHSAA five classifications.

MBCA All-State Teams released

The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) presents the 2009-2010 All-State teams for each of the MSHSAA Class 1-5 Girls and Boys teams. These teams were selected by members of MBCA from each district. District teams were selected first and this provided the pool for the final All-State Teams. For additional information contact Shawn Erickson, Festus High School or Jim Vaughan, Kennett High School Co-Chairs of the MBCA selection committee.

Academic All-State Teams named

The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) will honor 60 Senior girls and 66 senior boys who have been nominated by their coaches and certified by their High School Administration as 2010 MBCA Academic All-State Student Athletes. They have met both Academic and Basketball criteria to attain this high honor.

The Academic All-State Banquet will be held on Sunday April 18, 2010 at the University of Missouri Reynolds Alumni Center in Columbia at 1:00 PM. This is the largest Academic All State Class in twenty-six years that of the event has been held.
 
The 2010 MBCA Coaches of the Year for each of the five classes of the  Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) will be honored along with Miss and Mr. Show-Me Basketball, the Kevin "Cub" Martin Memorial Missouri Assistant Coach of the Year, the Curtis Kerr Memorial Missouri High School Student-Assistant of the year and Ms. and Mr. Special Olympic Missouri Basketball Award winners.
